Anime Expo 2011 Guest of Honor - Kalafina


Anime Expo announced their first musical guest Kalafina on Thursday May 5, 2011. Kalafina is a japanese pop band formed by composer Yuji Kajiura in 2007. They were formed to make the music of Kyara no Kokai - The Garden of Sinners. The band is known for wearing gorgeous gothic lolita clothing during the music videos and the concerts. It is comprised of three vocalists, Wakana, Hikaru, and Keiko. Since Kyara no Kokai they have done several opening and ending songs for anime, including Black Butler and Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

One of my favorite sports in the Summer Olympics is Rhythmic Gymnastics because of its beauty, grace, and skill. This sport is not a well known sport in the states since artistic gymnastics dominates the headlines. While this sport is not ubiquitous in the United States, it has heavy exposure all over the world, being part of the sport track in many primary schools all over Asia and Europe. Due to its heavy exposure, Rhythmic Gymnastics is seen in a variety of anime and manga.
