Anime Conji 2013 Dates


One of the big announcements this year was the adoption of San Diego's premiere anime convention, Anime Conji, to the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation, the nonprofit behind Project Anime and Anime Expo. At the end of the Anime Expo 2012 was the formal announcement of the adoption of Anime Conji and the convention date for Anime Conji, which was moved back to the month of April. Anime Conji 2013 will be April 12-14 at the Town and Country Resort.

Anime Conji is one of my favorite conventions in Southern California and I highly recommend attending it if you have the chance. The venue is one of the best venues for cosplay photography in California and it has a wonderful team behind the convention. For those of you used to the large convention venue you will be pleasantly surprised at the intimacy and camaraderie that develops at a smaller convention. See you in Anime Conji 2013!

One of my favorite sports in the Summer Olympics is Rhythmic Gymnastics because of its beauty, grace, and skill. This sport is not a well known sport in the states since artistic gymnastics dominates the headlines. While this sport is not ubiquitous in the United States, it has heavy exposure all over the world, being part of the sport track in many primary schools all over Asia and Europe. Due to its heavy exposure, Rhythmic Gymnastics is seen in a variety of anime and manga.
